Feeling it
When you have a child, you enter a completely different world, where you don't know anything. You have to learn new skills very fast with no training provided. Your new boss is very demanding and wants you to be good in everything you do immediately. Actually, you do get about six weeks of harsh training like in a boot camp, which by the end of it all seems like a blur. You become someone new, a person with 'can do' attitude, who can function on 100% with little sleep, sick or hungry or all at once. Patience and deep breath become your best friends. You enter a new world of people, gain new circle of friends, you start going to different type of parties, have different types of conversation and no matter how hard you try to get back to your pre-baby life you still end up discussing poo colours, how many times you cleaned up the vomit and what new exciting sound your baby made that day.
But with all that comes the joy and pride. I have never laughed so much in my life before I had Roman. And I've never been so proud of myself. It is hard to describe the sense of achievement you get every day!

Australian winter
I feared it before I moved to Australia. Winters here can be very depressing. Firstly, what kind of winter do you call winter if there is no snow. And secondly, where is the excitment of Chrismas coming up?! Winters in London are pretty cold, but what does it matter, when you spend your days Chrismas shopping, wrapping up presents, decorating your house and snuggling up with a cup of hot chocolate in front of a fire place with your friends and family. This is the best feeling that Australia is lacking. Here you get all good things at once: hot weather and Christmas. Of course, you can say, there is so much to do outdoors in the summer, but somehow, it doesn't make up for it. I need balance.
